Transfering address boook from Outlook express nothing transfers

If I transfer the address book from outlook express to outlook it only goes
into the contacks - why not the address book ?

You need to ask this question in a newsgroup specific to Outlook. When you do,
mention the version of Outlook. And specify what you mean by "the address
book".
