Transfering copy of Office XP to a New PC

I have a copy of Office XP Standard (Version 2002) that I bought in a Upgrade
version a while back. I upgraded frpm a Copy of Word that I had on the PC in
question to the upgrade purchase was legit.

I now have bought a new PC and wish to install the Office XP copy that I
have onto the new PC.

Can I just uninstall Office XP from the "old" PC and then install on the new
PC? Or, will the utility that seaches the PC to confirm eligability to
install the upgrade version of the software cause me a problem? If so, can
anyone help me to sort out how I can install this legitimately purchased
version of Office XP on my new PC? If it helps, the new PC does have Works
installed on it - would the upgrade checker on the office XP CD work with
this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=290540 for a list of qualifying
products for upgrade to Office XP. Works is not a qualifying product. The
installer program will definitely check for a qualifying product on the new
computer. It should be sufficient for you to insert the installation media
for your old version of Word from your old computer when prompted by the
installer program (you don't actually have to install the old version onto
your new computer). If you no longer have the installation media for your
old version of Word, then you also no longer have a license to use the Office
XP upgrade, and you will need to purchase a full version.
