Transfering data from one table to another

Hi all.

At this time I am experimenting at stregthening my skills in Exce
after not using it in several, several years.

I am trying to remember how to update columns on different tables....

Example, (this is all hypothetical)

I have a riskID for several tasks each task has a date assingned whe
it should be completed. I have three tables I would like to hav
populated as the task becomes closer to completion. Meaning, if
should be assigned riskID JLK and it is due in 11/20/04...the levels o
completion are red for hot or almost overdue, yellow for startin
caution time, and green for the task is exactly where it needs to be a
far as completion time is concerned.

I have no idea how to do this, can anyone help me get started
