transfering from excel to sql server

Hi

I would like to know what sort of a task it is transferring information
from excel to sql server backend database. I have experience (good
level) of using access and vb in access. I have used odbc to transfer
from one excel book to another.

Any comments or method or considerations for data layout I would like
to know.
