Transfering messages and address book

I would like to recover E-mails and my address book from
the hard disk from my lap top onto my tower system.

The laptop is unsable, however, I hard disk is OK.

Both machines are on Windows XP and outlook 2000.

Is there anyway of importing the E-amils and address book
from the old hard into Outlook on my tower?

Yes, but do not import. Simply copy and reuse the Personal Folders file
(*.pst). It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Outlook
does not use an Address Book.
