transfering messages

I am trying to export my email messages from Outlook Express 6 to OE on
another machine- when I click on File/export/messages, I get an error
message: "Error occurred while initializing MAPI" - what does this mean?

There is no need to export anything to do an OE to OE migration. Backup up
your store folder, copy it over to the other machine and point OE to that
location.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
