Transferring Animations from One Shape to Another

I am using PPT 2003. Is there anyway to transfer animations created for one
shape to another shape? The animations are fairly complex and I was hoping to
avoid having to redo them for the new shape.

You can perhaps copy the shape with its animations and change the contents
of the newly created shape.
