transferring emails from outlook to windows mail

Hi
Following a recent thread, I realise that my copy of outlook is not
compatible with windows vista(password savbing problems in the main).
Is there a way that I can delete outlook, transfer to windows mail but keep
my outlook emails?

What file types does Windows Mail support for importing? If one of the supported types in Outlook, export your mail from Outlook and import in Windows Mail.
