transferring notebooks to new computer

If I'm moving from one computer to another (not "sharing", actually moving)
can I just copy the "notebook files" from the OneNote folder (XP-Mydocs,
Office2007) to somewhere (where?) on the new computer (Win 7, Office2010)?

Do I have to worry about notebook names?

I don't have any notebooks set up in the new computer, just whatever
comes-with automatically (appears to be "guides").

Can I start any new notebooks on new pc & not have trouble when I want to
import the others?
Thank you.

Thanks.
I'm gradually getting the hang of how ON syncs things "behind the scenes" &
will have a much easier time of it after I'm sure I've got my old notebooks
retrieved from Backup (old computer crashed) & the new versions have both
the old & new info merged in. Then I can convert it all to 2010 version.
