Transferring Office 2000

Matt

Hi folks,
I am replacing a couple very ancient systems and I want to take their Office
2000 copies and transfer them off the old and on the new. I have no idea
where the product keys are for those machines since I have no idea what
happened to their particular copies. I have copies of office from other
machines in my office. Can I use any information from the present machines to
gain the product keys back from MS and then use them to install on the
replacement systems? I, obviously, don't want to go out and buy what I
already own licenses for even though they are rather old. Thanks!
Matt

Thanks Carey! I went through the processes to get to all the system info.
Software licenses. License information is listed for everything, but product
keys are only listed for IE and my Windows. My Office 2000 just has the
license numbers without any keys. Is there a way I can use this license info
to get the associated product keys? Thanks Carey!

Sounds like you have one of the Office 2000 versions that didn't store
the keys, Sorry.
