Transferring Office Pro 2003 Upgrade to a new PC

I have Office Pro 2003 Upgrade and need to move it from an old PC to a new.
I have the disc and product key. I get an error during installation because
the new PC doesn't have an earlier version of Office. And Works 9 (which is
installed on the new PC) is not one of the upgrade-eligible programs,
according to the box. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Your previous qualifying version is part of the license for the 2003
upgrade.
Where is the old version disk? - lost it? then you need to beg,steal,borow,
buy a qalifying version cd.

Find the CD for the upgrade eligible program on the old computer and use it
for your upgrade. Of course you can't use the original upgrading program on
your old computer after using it to upgrade on the new one and if it was an
OEM version of an eligible program it also is not a "legal" program to use
for eligibility.
