transferring outlook files to new computer

I've read all threads on this: My outlook files are 658MG - at least that is
what "properties" brings up - I could be doing it wrong.

Tried now for over 20 hours - read help files - still no luck.

How do I copy outlook files, folders, subfolders, messages, address book
etc, from laptop to desktop so they are on both machines, and then can be
syncronized weekly.
Please be specific with terminology and clicks to copy from laptop and get
those copied files into the desktop outlook file. TY

Do a search for a file called *.pst - this holds ALL your outlook data
(email, calendar, journal. contacts etc etc) and copy that (either via CD or
network connection) to your other machine. It's as easy as that.
If you are using XP or W2K then you will have to enable Hidden and System
Files and Folders in your search.

TY for your info. I ended up just hiring someone - it was way beyond my
