Transferring Webs To A New Computer

B

Ben C

Hello,

I have recently upgraded to a new computer. I have over
100 websites that I need to transfer to my new computer.
I have a copy of each of these webs on my old computer
and also a copy of each of these webs live on the web
server.

My question is what is the best way to get a copy of each
of these webs to my new computer (local disk)? I have
heard some people say you should open the web from the
server and then publish it to your local disk. I have
heard others say you should use the import function in
FP. I have also heard that if you use the import function
you need to be very careful because the import function
will only import pages that are, at some level, linked to
the home page and will not import isolated or stranded
pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Best Regards,

Ben C

Open the webs on the server and publish to your local disk.
