Transparency problems when saving to .pdf

I am not sure if this has already been answered. I am using
powerpoint 2007. I can make my backgrounds transparent as well as
fills in text boxes. They look great when the file is in pptx
format. However, when I save as a .pdf the pictures lose their
transparency. Any ideas??

Thanks

How are you saving as PDF? What set of steps do you follow?

I choose save as pdf. I have tried changing the transparency to about
95% and it still shows up without any transparency.

I would download/install one of the free PDF makers such as Cutepdf
http://www.cutepdf.com/download/CuteWriter.exe. Then go to print, you
will see a new pdf printer, select it, go to properties set it up as
you were sending it to print, change to 1200 dpi, go back to printer
screen then select "high quality" then OK to print.
might ask you where to save pdf, desktop is a good place to start!!!!
IT WORKS for us!!!! We have had transparency issues for years until
Microsoft added this tick box to Office 2007 give it a go !!!! :D
