Transparent tool in 2007 gone?

M

Michele

Upgraded to PP 2007 on my XP and to my dismay, cannot find the transparent
wand/tool that I loved so much. Now to get rid of that dreaded white box, I
have to open Publisher 2007 to get what I want and then copy and paste.

Is it still there in PP 2007 - and if so, where is it hiding? If it is gone
they should bring it back!

May I add that when I go to Picture Tools > Recolor there is nothing anywhere
that says "set transparent color"

Michele

I am following everyone closely. There is no Transparent option

When I get to recolor, I see 19 variations to choose from. These little
cloud pictures. Nothing transparent. Nada.

Can you provide a step by step for idiots because I must be one as I can't
find this anywhere!

might help you find various features you're missing. (Of course, some of
them really *are* missing!)

Dang. The commands on that link don't show any of the drawing or picture
tools. I thought there was a version that does a better job than this one.
Hopefully someone else will post it.

Hi,

At the bottom of the recolor drop down, below all those cloud pics, are
2 menu items.
More Variations
Set Transparent Color

Cheers
Andy

Aha! I do not have those two options! What does that mean?
I also right click on a picture to format picture, and recolor and I get my
clouds but none of those more options. They are just not there!

Weird. What format of picture did you insert?

If you use a JPG, is it there? How about a PNG or WMF?

Michele

You know what I was doing, I was going to the wrong Recolor and using Format
picture where the recolor option appears. When I went to the left ribbon I
found the right display. Thank you.

They sure hid it well, didn't they?!
