Transposing a cell down a colum

Help. I have been using the copy-paste special-transpose function to create several workbooks. It worked fine, but now when I use it the cell being copy just pastes the same information all the way down the colum. I am tying five workbooks into one. My formula is "wrkbk A" C:1 = "wrkbk B" D:1+"wrkbk C" D:1+"wrkbk D" D:1+"wrkbk E" D:1+ "wrkbk F" D:1
I am trying to use the transpose function to change the Row number to corrospond with the row number on the workbook
