Treo 650 syncing with Entourage address book...

I had a Treo 600 and now just got a 650. I have VersaMail connecting
through ActiveSync to my office¹s Exchange server for my calendar and email.
But, it doesn¹t sync my contacts. So, I¹m trying to just sync my 650 with
my Entourage Address book through the Entourage conduit via HotSync.

But, it¹s not doing it. Here is the message from the log:

Before you can synchronize with the applications on this handheld device, you
must enable synchronization in the Entourage Conduit Settings dialog box. For
the latest information on compatibility issues and solutions, visit the Office
2004 Web Site synchronization failed
Entourage Conduit synchronization failed
³Entourage Conduit² failed (error = #-1)

Please advise.

To avoid accidental data loss, synchronization between Entourage 2004 and
Palm's new handhelds is turned off by default. Follow this procedure to turn
on synchronization after both Palm synchronization software and the
Microsoft Handheld Synchronization software have been installed:
1. Launch the HotSync Manager application (usually located in
/Applications/Palm)
2. Under the HotSync menu, choose Conduit Settings.
3. Double-click the "Entourage Conduit" entry.
4. Near the bottom, check the option to "Enable synchronization with these
new handhelds."
5. Click OK.

I was not aware that active sync does contacts, I thought you needed
Hot Sync (cable for instance) to do the contacts. My understanding is
that only calendar and email is synched with active sync.

Please advise if anyone knows better.
