Trial to Regular

Microsoft office came as a trial w/ my new computer. I wanted to upgrade to
office professional. I purchased the product upgrade version. (It said I
could on the trial). But it won't accept the product key. I'm assuming I can
upgrade to any version of office. Does anyone know anything about this? Is
it upgradable?
I can't find any support phone numbers to answer this question. Should I
try to install the cd's and see what happens?
Thanks for your help!

ctblubird,
Trial versions can only be converted to the same version. If your system
came with Small Business, then you have to purchase that version. There is no
support for trial versions other than these groups. Have a look at the
following links:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/faq.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/activate.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/convert.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/prodinfo/trial.mspx
If this is not enough information, write back and include your trial version
that was included on your pc.
