I captured an audio of a class I needed to record for an hour [I was supposed
to record and Instant Message the audio to othere in my group] I recorded by
capturing audio only through producer. I saved the file at the end and it
appears in a Producer project as if it were a Windows Media file... it has
the .wma extension and the little icon of a Windows Media file. All looks
good until I tried to open the file from Windows Media. Windows Media cannot
open the file as it does not recognise the format [how is this possible when
it appears to be a .wma file?]

When I look for a .wma file in my Audios Folder there are no files apparent.
When I go to any files [*.*] it shows there is a Producer Project and my file
name is there. Why doesn't it show up as a .wma file; why all of a sudded
does it have a Producer Icon. I've tried file save as a few times to add a
..wma extension to the file but that didn't work. I've tried to copy and
paste; that does not work. Producer only allows a file to be saved as a
Producer Project or "all files"; yet Windows Media has multiple choices to
save a file in.

OK, so How do I save the file as a .wma; how do I send this file via Instant
Message without sending the whole project... I want to only send the audio,
not slides, voice and the whole enchilada. Pleas give suggestions. Thanks,
Lynda

I have to ask - What does this have to do with Publisher?

MS Producer appears to not have a forum.

I see "microsoft.public.producer" in my list of newsgroups.

producer, pictureit, greetings workshop, homepublishing...
to name a few...there may be more.

This may be why we're receiving OT messages here.
