Troube uploading website

HELP! I have read the db "Creating & uploading a
website". I have followed it to a tee. It appears that
everything went fine. The exporting as a web, went fine,
I created a new ftp location OK. I got a message that
said "exporting your web site as "web page, filtered"
produces smaller html files . . . ." I opened up my file
on the browser, however, I typed in my website and came
up with an error message "Page not found". What am I
missing?

Than the site was not published to the server or was published to the wrong
location or not named index.htm.
Did you publish to your ftp location or to your PC?
Did you name the file index.htm?
If you published to the server than did you verify you were at the root and
not in a folder?

What is the URL?

My website is named index.htm.
I exported the document to my ftp location
The URL is karmic-connection.com
I've checked and it's definitely saved as an html
document. Yet, when I type in the url on the internet,
it's coming as invalid. Please help. Thanks.

Is the website on it's own domain, i.e., http://www.suzanne.com or are you
building it using the space allocated to your account?

Here is a sample of using personal space on the I.P.'s space in my account:

http://www.pacifier.com/~dschmidt/osia_vancouver_usa/index.html

The reason for the extra folder in the path (osia_vancouver_usa) is because
there are two sites within my personal space. There's the one I provide and
there's a second that my daughter provides.

http://www.pacifier.com/~dschmidt/The_Sanctuary/index.html

I see she's in a major rebuild, or her statement says it all.<G> (She's
thirteen)

oh, karmic-connection again.
when last we spoke of this I informed you that I was unsuccessful in getting
a connection via either ftp or http in any client to your domain and
informed you to investigate the matter with your hosting company.
what was the result of that?

Well if the password is different than lets go back to what we tried
earlier, send me the pub file and your new login/upload info and I'll test
it.

Getting the error that the server cannot be found. That error makes me
wonder if you set up the name servers. Go Daddy should have had this
documented in their account setup communications with you. They also cover
it in their support section - I found it at
https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/faq/...daddy&faq_id=59&topic_id=15&topic=Web Hosting

Verify your name servers setup. I'd suggest reviewing the emails you would
have received from godaddy after you signed up.
