We have recently upgraded to XP, and now some reports that were working in
2000 are no longer working. The DB is stored on a server & can therefore be
accessed by multiple people in the organisation. The report is accessed via
a button on a form and a date parameter is required.
When I press the button on the affected machine NO parameter box appears, I
immediately get an 'error 2501'. When I set the default printer on the
affected machine to 'Microsoft Office Document Image Writer', the report
works fine!!! However, when I have a legitimate printer set as default the
error occurs.
I have opened the DB on a different machine & the reports work fine no
matter what printer is set as default. When I log onto the affected machine,
the same errors occur. So the problem must be machine specific.
