trouble filtering a list. Why isn't column filtering?

I've tried to filter a column of dates and have asked for any one of a number
of criteria but nothing is happening. It isn't filtering. Has anyone had
this problem?

Sounds like your dates might be seen as text. See "data isn't recognized..."
