trouble getting the right headings

Hi
I looked at some other similar questions but did not find an answer
I would like the have the following heading and I start form normal.dot
Part
chapter
1.
1.
1.2.
1.2.
1.
Chapter
Now one of the diffculties is the the bullets and numbers gallery change every time I open it
could you tell me how to get this heading
i.e. take heading 1 what to set in the numbering & more button
i.e. take heading 2 what to set in the numbering & more button
i.e. take heading 3 what to set in the numbering & more button
i.e. take heading 4 what to set in the numbering & more button

You want to be doing this through styles, not through the gallery. You have
to follow the exact steps set out in "How to create numbered headings or
outline numbering in your Word document"
