Trouble installing office 2007

AY

I keep getting an error message when I try to install my Office 2007 on my
IBM Thinkpad X61 running Windows XP professional:

I get a select folder dialog box asking me to select the following folder:
Access.en-us\Access.en-us\AccLR.cab

When I use the dialog box to select the approprate folder on the CD I get a
"Invalid Location" error. I tried copying the contents of the installation CD
to my local hard drive but that did not help. Please help!

hi Al,
I would suggest you select custom install and then install one application
at a time from office 2007 installation. The usually appears if there is a
memory Error in the RAM installed on the memory.

This works:

1. Create the following directory structure on your C: drive:

C:\Access.en-us\Access.en-us\

2. Copy acclr.* files to C:\Access.en-us\Access.en-us\

3. When Office asks where the file is, point it to: " C:\ ", *NOT* C:
\Access.en-us\Access.en-us\
