Trouble printing 2003 word with 2007, print off the page.

I am trying to print assignments from 03 version from my school. Tried to
change margins. Tried to save in 07 format. I am not for sure what to do.
Using vista on a notebook. When I finally get it ti closely fit, The pages
merge.
