Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I have so much trouble using the magic mouse to scroll, cut and paste between worksheet. What do I need to do to fix this? It slows me down a lot.

Without knowing specifically what "so much trouble" you're having it's
impossible to suggest any meaningful solutions or alternatives. It would
also be helpful to know what your exact update levels of Office & OS X are.

Buy a different mouse :)

The Magic Mouse looks pretty, but after using it for a few days I was ready
to throw it out the window!

I use a Microsoft Mouse 5000. More comfortable, fits the hand better,
easier to control...

But almost any mouse will work with OS X.

Cheers

nd, unlike John MaGhie who must have awfuly malformed hands, I have been
using a magic mouse since it came out with absolutely no problems. I
love it and it works perfectly. You'll have to explain what "so much
trouble" means.

When I scrolled down the page in the page layout mode, the curser went all the way down past where I want it to be and it take a long time to scroll back to the first page. When I tried again, Excel just quit on me. Another thing is that when I copy and paste the whole document and tried to paste it on to a new worksheet, it said not enough memory and slows down considerably. I have a 4 gig memory iMac and it shouldn't have that problem.

No, you shouldn't have that problem. but, based on my experience it is
not caused by the magic mouse. there is probably some other
configuration issue. have you followed the usual trouble shooting steps?

Does this happen on one workbook or all workbooks? If it's the former, can you send me a copy of your workbook ([email protected])? I suspect some content in your workbook is causing the problem.

It happens to all workbooks. I am so frustrated with this version. I also use Excel 2004 on my other G4 computer and it works out fine on the same document. When I try to open a document from and older version it takes forever to look for the document and the clock icon went on and on. This sucks.
