This is a common problem when people change their ISPs!! In your case your ISP is now your college and so you need to find from its website (Central Computing Services or something similar) what their SMTP is. Once you have got this, you need to tell us what email client you are using (Outlook express, Microsoft Outlook, Netscape Messenger, Eudora, Pegasus etc etc) so that we can tell you where to enter this info.
Alternatively, perhaps your own ISP might allow you to use their SMTP server by just logging in (instead of dialing in) via college computers but unlikely due to security risks.
Hope this helps.
Have a nice time at college!!
I'm using Microsoft Office XP Professional. I just moved
into my college dorm, and I have no problem recieving
mail, just sending it. What do I do to fix this?

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.
I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
