Trouble with my inbox on 2007

Lisa

When I open Outlook it seems to open fine and down load messages. I can also
open the messages. But I cannot delete them. When I try to delete them I
get the "Errors have been detected in the file C:\....\Outlook.pst. Quit
Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool
(Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information
about the Inbox repair tool, see Help." message. I have tried to run the
inbox repair tool on the file it lists, but it says that file is in use even
though I have exited out of Outlook. Everything had been running fine until
yesterday afternoon, that's when this message started appearing. I feel I am
pretty good at working through computer issues, but this stuff is confusing!

Are you using any apps that use outlook data? Did you install anything
recently - like something that added the google desktop search?

Not that I know of. I did update our Kodak EasyShare yesterday, but Outlook
seemed to work fine afterwards (at least for a while). Oh--I think I forgot
to mention my OS is Vista--if that helps.

Does easy share link with outlook in any way? Did you use easy share
yesterday after upgrading it? Did it offer to install google toolbar?
(desktop search is often installed with the toolbar and many apps now offer
to install it.)

I think I got the inbox repair tool to work and the problem seems to be
fixed. I don't know what I did to fix it. I did a virus scan and deleted
all my cookies & history then restarted. I just decided to try the repair
tool again (I guess hoping I would sneak up on it--LOL) and it worked.
Thanks for your help!
