Trouble with reference to Microsoft Access 14.0 Object Library

Customer installed latest Access first, then unistalled and installed
Access 2003. Now we get error "object or class not suppport the set of
events." when we do almost every task that include some vba code. For
instance when we close a form. Pretty sure that the cause for this
problem is the reference to Microsoft Access 14.0 Object Library.
Since we are using Access 2003 it should have reference to 10 Object
Library. Question is: How can we remove reference to 14 Object
Library? Have tried to remove from Tools and References but get error
saying the reference is in use. Appreciate any suggestions.

It sounds like Access has not fully registered itself. Do you get
the "installing" dialog when starting Access? If not, try repairing
A2003.
