Trouble with the recent technical refresh update for office 2007 b

I recently downloaded the technical refresh update. After doing so, I have
been unable to access any previous documents saved in beta 2007 for word,
excel, and access. When typing and new document in word and then saving it, I
can not access it after closing the document. As long as it is open, it is
fine. This all occurred after the new technical refresh update. States,
unable to open document, due to virus scan and trouble with virus update. The
major problem with this is that you can not uninstall the technical refresh
update. Any HELP out there would be appreciated. It is very frustrating to
not be able to get to anything. The beta program worked fine prior to
downloading this update also.
