TROUBLESHOOTING PICTURES IN A PRESENTATION (PPT XP)

Hi Guys

I am running Windows 2000 as an operating system but using PPT XP to do presentations. The problem I have is that when I insert a picture in a slide and change from one slide to another, or even during a slide show, this picture dissapears and is replaced with a big red X on a white background, or it just appears on a completely different slide in the bottom right hand corner. Very strange...could it be a conflict between Windows 2000 and XP? Please help, it is driving me crazy!
