Trusted Locations - Access 2007 Runtime

Hello,

I have an Access 2002 database that is distributed to users operating mostly
in a runtime version and do not have the full version of Access. I would
like to convert to Access 2007 but the problem that I'm running into is how
to deal with the "Trusted Location" in a runtime environment. What is the
generally accepted method for assigning the Trusted Location in a runtime
environment? Remember these are novice users and I cannot ask them to make
registry modifications.

Thanks,

Vic

Hello -

When I start the following reg file I get 2 messages: (1) Are you sure you
want to add the information in d:\Trustdb.reg to the registry? (2)
Information in d:\TrustDB.reg has been successfully added to the registry.

However, the registry does not contain the entries in the reg file so of
course Access 2007 complains and rejects the database. Can someone tell me
what is wrong with the reg file?

Thanks,

Vic

TrustDB.reg file follows:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Access\Security\Trusted
Locations\Location1]
AllowSubFolders (REG_DWORD) = 1
Path (REG_SZ) "C:\Program Files\Show Secretary"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Access\Security\Trusted
Locations\Location2]
AllowSubFolders (REG_DWORD) = 1
Path (REG_SZ) "C:\Database\ShowSec7"
