Trying out Outlook 2007

I'm looking for a safe way of trying Outlook 2007 without burning my boats.
I've got a trial version of Office 2007 but to use Outlook 2007 I have to
remove Outlook 2003. Can I be certain of keeping my messages if I then want
to go back to Outlook 2003? If I uninstall Outlook 2007 and then reinstall
Outlook 2003 will the program just find my message store automaticall?

Outlook is the worst program to try out because if you decide not to buy
the full version, there is no guarantee that you will get all your
messages back by re-installing Office 2003.

I suggest stay away from it or just go and buy the full version.

You can try other programs in Office 2007 suite. All your documents
remain intact and they can be opened in old programs but not in Outlook
2007.

And please note that any idiot by the name of Bob I has small
circumcised p e n i s and correspondingly smaller brain.

You are being told c***
Your outlook data file is not impacted by moving from 2003 to 2007 (Assuming
2003 uses unicode format)
Uninstalling Outlook has no impact on the Outlook Data Files or its Profile
A backup of data is allways wise, in any event

Thing is, I'm not sure a) how to back up the files and b) where I would store
them so Outlook could find them if it couldn't find the orginals. Word files
are a bit more obvious and a bit more manual than whatever it is Outlook
does. And how do I find out if 2003 uses Unicode format?

Bit late in the day but thank you for the link which looks very useful.
Hope I can get it right.
