JoAnn,
Thanik you for responding. I'm working out of the Worksource office in
Tacoma. When I try to save, I am told C drive does not exist or is not
available. I'm not sure why this is happening unless the State App is
just
to big, but it would seem like I would not be the only one having this
problem. This makes me think I am doing something wrong.
You download the app from Dept of Personnel, you fill it out and you save
it. Seems simple. I've tried dowloading to one diskette, filling it out
and
saving to another diskette. No go. I feel really stupid. I've been
working with Office since the beginning. I've 25 years of clerical
support
experience although I've been out of the office since 12/02. I mean, it
used
to be IBM Selectric, then PC's hit the scene. WordPerfect, Word, Office
(and
all that entails), IBM sys3....all these word processing platforms and
office
managment skills and supporting professional staff from King County to
State
Depts of L&I, Licensing, Social and Health Services...AND I CAN'T EVEN
RENAME
A DAMN FILE ON A DISKETTE.
????Maybe......if I fill it out on-line, AND THEN, download completed
product??????
But then anytime I make a change to it and try and save, it runs out of
space.

Save the file to your hard drive. Copy the file to the floppy.

I am trying to save Washington State Applicaton. That works fine until
you
fill it in, then you have to save it do another diskette. No problem,
except
duing the save it comes up with some "permission" issue. Anyway, it
did
save
as "squiggle mark" WRL3539.tmp. Now I would like to change name to
Washington State App. No rename option. It would normally me under
File
or
Edit, but no "rename" option. What now?
