PowerPoint has a Max setting of 56" in either width or height. Many
professional printing houses (and some of the better printers) can double
the image size of a slide rendering up to a 112" size. However, since
PowerPoint does not support page tiling (using many smaller pages combined
to form a larger page) you may need to use a professional printer anyway.
Again, some upper end inkjet and graphing printers offer this feature from
the printer end. Do you have one of these printers installed/available?
Unless you have the time/money to use a professional printing company (like
some Kinko's), or have one of the upper end printers attached to your
system, you may be better off using another product to design your Poster.
MS Publisher is able to tile print and can handle Posters up to 20 ft x 20
ft (which would be a bit over seven hundred 8.5 x 11 pages). BTW, if you
are going to use 8.5 x 11 paper, you are aware that you will need to paste
together over 50 individual pages, right? Do you have MS Publisher
installed?
