I am working with Windows 2000 Professional. I have Publisher 2000. I have
a design that has a custom page size of 9.75 x 14.75. When I create my pdf
it cuts off the design. Here is a dumb question...if I emailed that to
the printers would they be able to save or open it & see the entire file,
where I could not since I do not have a printer big enough to print the
file?
When I have checked the setting in the pdf software that says fit to
page...the printers get the whole desing but say it is too small (8 1/2 x
11)

Please tell me how people send large files as a pdf and get the whole
design sent.

Thanks
Kad

To create a custom page size (Windows):
1. Do one of the following:
• Open the Printers or Printer And Faxes window from the Start menu. Right-click the
Adobe PDF printer, and choose Printing Preferences.
• In an authoring application such as Adobe InDesign. choose File Print. Select Adobe
PDF as the printer, and click the Properties button (In sonic applications, you may
need to click Setup in the Print dialog box to access the list of printers. and then
click Properties or Preferences to customize the Adobe PDF settings.)
2. In the Adobe PDF Settings tab. click the Add button next to the Adobe PDF Page
Size menu.
3. Specify the name. width. height. and unit of measurement. Click AddMothfy to add
the custom page size name to the Adobe PDF Page Size menu.

Mary,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
I only get so far in the instructions...before getting lost.

I have 2 sources of creating pdf's. AdobePS Acrobat Distiller & Amyuni PDF
converter.
I am not familiar with Adobe Indesign? I don't know what sonic applications
means.

When I go into the settings tab of Adobe Distiller, I do not have an 'add'
tab. so....I get lost there.

Mary,

I was able to figure this custom page size out - Thanks!

I know when I posted the message the Indesign was wrong to use, but I copied it
directly from Acrobat's help; of course Adobe will have used their own product as an
example.
I'm glad you figured it all out... Thanks for the update.
