Trying to import an excel contact spreadsheet into outlook - error reads
"DABMLSKG.xls has no named ranges use Microsoft Excel to name the range of
data you want to import.

Can anyone tell me what this is referring to PLEASE?

It means what it says -- that you have not used the Insert | Name | Define command in Excel to define a named range that includes all the rows and columns you want to import. Search for "named range" in Excel Help to learn more.

BTW, you posted in a programming forum. THe microsoft.public.outlook.contacts group would be better for this type of usage question.

You need to establish a range in Excel, which is what is imported into
Outlook.

BTW, this has nothing to do with programming and this is a programming
newsgroup.
