TRYING TO INSERT IMAGE IN TEXTBOX WORD 2003 THUMBNAILS VIEW DOESN.

Just upgraded from MSOffice 2000 to 2003. Now when I go to insert an image
from a file into a textbox in Word, the thumbnail view of images in the
folders doesn't work. I'm just looking at another information-free stupid
Microsoft icon. How do I turn on the thumbnail(preview) view?

Thanks for suggestions,

Thanks for responding, Suzanne. I'm not sure how downloading a template
would change my 'thumbnail' view in Word/Windows file locators. I notice
that bitmap files do appear as thumbnails, but jpg files do not. How do I
enable thumbnail preview of jpg files?

Thanks,

Chris Allen

Sorry, that was intended as a response to a different question! See here for
at least a partial explanation: "Cannot View Thumbnail Image" at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=243401. Note that installing Office 2003
uninstalls Photo Editor.

Also note that you don't actually need a text box; you can wrap images
without it: just click on the picture to display the Picture toolbar, then
select the Text Wrapping button (dog icon) and choose any wrapping option
other than In Line With Text.
