Trying to install full Office; PC had trial version; key failing.

Purchased a Toshiba notebook. Had trial version of Office installed.
Uninstalled it in preparation for full licensed version of Microsoft Office
which I already have. I can't install the new version. The message suggests
I have an invalid license key. I know the license key works because I tested
the Office install on the notebook I'm retiring. I suspect it's 'leftovers'
from the trial version, but I don't know where to look or what to clean.

By full licensed version do you mean a version you purchased retail?
What version of Office is it?

Thanks for the reply, DL. I noticed that another package I had installed had
installed a "viewer" form of Word. When I uninstalled this, I was able to
install Microsoft Office. Thank you.
