Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hey guys,
I'm having troubles as a lot of people had, as I saw in many places including this forum. Well the problem is:
1-I had the Office 2008 trial version;
2-I bought the full version of Office 2008 Home and Student;
3-I tried to installed it and it failed because it says my activation key is not valid
4-I removed the trial version completely according to most hints in internet: remove office using the "remove office tool", then remove the .plist files, then remove fonts, go to private/var/db/receipts and removing com.microsoft files, etc etc etc. Very frustrating.
5-none of this worked and I still can't use my office wich I PAYD FOR!!
6-I tried to reach customer service to try the manual activation, but - FRUSTRATED AGAIN! - I could get an answer, because, the MESSAGE RETURNS TO MY EMAIL, WITH THE 'WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS' ERROR!

please please please guys help!!! how can I solve this issue???

thanks!!

I thought there was a phone number in the trial info after you purchased
on contacting Digital River that handles the sale.

Use the ‘Remove Office’ utility to remove the trial and/or new install,
and do it as an administrative user. "Remove Office" can be found in
this location.

/Application/Microsoft Office 2008/Additional Tools/Remove Office

Delete Microsoft Office 2008 settings.plist file:

/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft
Office 2008 settings.plist

Remove all office2008...pkg receipts in these folders:

1) /Library/Receipts

2) In the Finder toolbar under Go, paste in this path:

/private/var/db/receipts
