Trying to link Slide ID to a button in presentation

I am having trouble figuring out how to link a button that will appear on a page of my presentation so that when clicked, it will automatically go to a specific slide.

Any advice?

Right click the shape -> Hyperlink -> Place in this document. Is that what
you are after?
