Trying to make a string of text in a semi circle

I am trying to get a string of text reading from left to right at the lower
part of a circle... the text forming a semi- circle

Jean-Pierre is right -- use WordArt. In PPT 2007, you'll want Drawing Tools
Format | Text Effects | Transform.
