Trying to Modify Category

I can create new categories OK but as soon as I try to Modify one, I get a
very uninformative error: An error ocurred while completing the operation

I am running Project Server 2003 with SP1 applied.

I should add that this issue is noted in SP1 but it is associated with
Inactive resources. There are no inactive resources in the Category being
Modified (and as previously noted SP1 is applied).

There are no errors in the App Event Log.

Rick:

Unless you've made some changes to your security matrix that corresponds
with the problem surfacing, there's a good chance that you've got corruption
in either the Enterprise Global File or the Resource Pool.

Thanks Gary; I'll try to identify where and what the corruption is. If you
have alternative suggestions please advise.

Couldn't hurt to apply the latest hotfix package. You'll need to start a
support call to Microsoft to obtain that.

I have the same problem...
The error occured only when in category is one ore more NTAccounts users. PS
account user doesnt matter.
