Hi, I have Office 2003 pro and I am using Windows XP sp3 retail
version .I have over 80 gb of free space on my hard drive. I am
getting the notice to update my Office pro software . MS show I have 2
updates, Microsoft Office 2003 ( KB953432 ) and the Junk Email Filter
( KB 953465 ) Though every time I try it fails . So I try to do it
manually install and save those files on my computer . Once I try to
load either I get an error >>> Error 1327. Invalid : Drive F:\

Problem is I don't have a F drive . How can I fix this so I am able to
load these 2 files ?

Thanks

Just to add , this did not work below

Click Start > Run > type "msconfig" without the quotations and press
enter
- Go to services Tab - clcik to check "Hide All Microsoft Services"
- Click Disable All > Apply & OK
- Click Yes to reboot your computer
- Download the updates
- Once the installation of updates is complete, click Cancel when
prompted
to restart the system
- Click Start > Run > type "msconfig" without the quotations and
press enter
- Click to check "Normal startup" > Click Apply & OK
- Click Yes to reboot your computer (This will restart your computer
in
normal mode).

Anyone can help pls ? Thanks

I have the same problem.

Problem Solved!

In case others have a similar problem, I will give some boring details.

Performed the usual updating procedure for:

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB951535) and Update for
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB957832)

Both failed giving the error message:
Error Code: 0x52F

After much frustration, downloaded both updates and ran them manually.

Surprisingly, the error message changed to:
Error 1327. Invalid Drive: D:\

Went into regedit and changed:

Name
LastUsedSource
Type
Reg_Expand_SZ
Data
n;1;D:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\

To:

n;1;C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\

This did NOT appear to help. (Also found that
C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\
already existed on the C drive.)

WHAT WORKED

HiKey_Local_Machine
Software
Microsoft
Office
11.0
Delivery
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Delivery\{91110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9}
Name:
LocalCacheDrive
Type:
REG_SZ
Data:
D

Changed the D to a C

Due to this change in the registry (or maybe due to both changes) the
updates were successful.

This problem was truly a nightmare which took about 5 hours of sheer
frustration to resolve.

Microsoft, this problem should have been automatically rectified.

Also, PLEASE slightly modify Windows so that error messages and information
shown in the search function for files can be copied.
