Turn off DDE for Access via Registry

R

Rogene

When I go to the following:

Tools --> Folder Options --> File Types tab
Highlight MDB (Microsoft Access Application) from the list
Depress Advanced Button (Details for MDB extension)
Edit Button
Remove Check to Use DDE
Exit out

Go back into the Folder Options and checkto see if the "Use DDE" is still
gone and the check mark reappears.

Is there a way to remove via registry?

Thanks

We are able to print items from Access 2x's faster than when it's on. That
appears to be the one thing that corrects the slow printing we experience.

Do you mean within Acces or Folder Options?

Did you try going to Tools/Options/ Advanced and selecting the option
"Ignore DDE requests"?

Yes, as stated in the original post that is exactly what I'm doing. The
problem is that when you return to that same location after Ignore DDE
requests it's checked again. So it's not saving the information. That's why
I was looking for registry setting that would allow it to stick. Let me know
what you think.
