Turn off the "Do you want to save changes to the design of table?" message

Hello,

I am using Microsoft Access 2000 in a Windows 2000 OS. My question is:

Does anyone know how to turn off the Microsoft Access message:
"Do you want to save changes to the design of table?"

This message occurs when you are viewing a table in datasheet view
mode, and you make some type of change to the table, such as sorting on
a field or changing the width of a column.

I would appreciate knowing any way, code-based or otherwise, to turn
this message off. I've already turned off the confirmation messages
for record changes, document deletions and action queries, but can't
find a way to turn off the table design confirmation message.

Thank You,
Cathy

Cathy,

I don't think that's something you can control.

That's because you are using the DatasheetView of the Table for normal use.
Im proprly-implemented database applications, users should not use / access
the DatasheetView of the Table. Use should be using Forms which allow the
developer / programer more control on the user's experience.

If you want to expose the DatasheetView, use the DatasheetView of a Form,
not Table.

can't
find a way to turn off the table design confirmation message.

Simplest is not to use table datasheet view at all.

A Form with tools to adjust the sorting and filtering can do what you
describe, under more control than a table datasheet - and no messages.
