Hi, everyone,
We're using Word XP on Windows 2000 and have a question.
Is there a way to customize Word so that Track Changes is turned off
as the default? (We want to open a document and have Word -not-
track the changes or track them but not display them.)
I looked through the online help, but couldn't see anything relating
to this particular aspect of Track Changes. I also couldn't see
anything about this in the Tools > Options > Track Changes tab.
I read on this group that you can use the Tools > Options > Security
tab to instruct word not to show the changes on the screen as a
default. However, this isn't an option in XP; in XP, the only
changes-related choice on the Security tab is: "Warn before
printing, saving, or sending a file that contains tracked changes or
comments."
Thanks for any help.
