Turning off Managed Time Periods

Is there any adverse affect to turning off Managed Time Periods? We have
decided to not use this feature, but I don't want to lose any actuals or have
to republish all plans or anything like that. Has anyone had any experience
with this already?

Thanks. -Teresa

Teresa --

You will not lose any actuals if you turn of Managed Time Periods. You will
lose the system restriction that prevents team members from entering actual
work in what would have been closed past time periods and in future time
periods. To work around this issue, you should carefully define the process
for entering actuals, teach this to all of your team members, and then hold
them accountable for following this process. For example, make it very
clear that team members are forbidden from entering Actual Work in future
time periods. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Dale. I'm prepared to handle that and it shouldn't be a problem. We
just can't keep going without PMs being able to enter actuals for the many,
many team members off-site, not participating in PWA. Using Local and
Enterprise Generics is a little cumbersome for us as well. Thanks for your
help. -Teresa PS: Need to go buy your book, I think.
