Turning Off Red/Green squiggly underline In Word 08

Ok....I can't find this option.....it is driving me crazy....I want to turn
off the option that Word 08 uses to signify spelling mistakes etc.....can
anyone assist?

Go to the preferences and disable spelling and grammar checking as you
type.
