TWO-COLUMN PAGE

Hi,

I am dealing with bilingual wording of 60 pages, therefore
I have created a two-column page layout. But when it comes to the bottom of
the page, my typing strictly goes from the left column to the right one on
the current page and then from the right column to the left column of the
next page. But my task is to type English version in the left column down the
document and the same with the Russian version but in the right column. Could
you please help how I can overcome this. Many thanks you in advance.

Use a two column TABLE.
So change back to one-column page layout, then add a two-column Table. With
or without borders your choice.
Remember also that Word tables do not like a row being too long. Thatis to
say do not have all your 60-pages of text in one table-cell. Break up your
text, say by paragraph/sub-section, then move onto the next cell in the next
row.
These rows can allow for better alignment of the different languages.
When you create the table, remember the Row function of "Allow row to break
across pages" and dont have any specific height defined, Also I tend not to
have "Automatically resize to fit content" selected, and for rows to break
across pages the whole table not be floating, ie Left Alignment and no text
wrapping.
Hope this helps
